Well, I cannot blame the red wine or the scotch for not producing a Newsletter last week - I simply ran out of time and ‘puff’ last Friday… So, I made the executive decision to wait and wish you all a wonderful Australia Day! And for most, a great long weekend!
Australia Day, 26 January, is the day to reflect on what it means to be Australian, to celebrate contemporary Australia and to acknowledge our history. On Australia Day we celebrate all the things we love about Australia, the land, sense of fair go, lifestyle, democracy, the freedoms we enjoy, but particularly our people – all of us who call our country home!
I am not sure what is more Australian – to work on the day, which seems appropriate as part of our hardworking culture, or relax and have a day off – we will see…… However, please be assured, we will not be far away and ALWAYS available should you need anything! Mr. Jeeves has been in the ‘mode’ all week!
In brief: In Sales during the past two weeks, we have had three new Contracts, Hibiscus, Oscar on Main and The Meriton, so Congratulations to myself and Shelley, who negotiated those sales. Shelley has also just listed another 2 bedroom apartment in Hibiscus, listed at $515,000 and a beautifully renovated 1 bedroom apartment in De Ville, which is listed at $479,000, both of which are featured below.

On the Gold Coast.....
Broadwater Parklands Southport
Be part of the celebrations at the Gold Coast Australia Day event at Broadwater Parklands in Southport. Pack your picnic rug and gather your family and friends for a wonderful afternoon of food, fun and spectacular fireworks on Friday 26th January, 2018.
Spend the day soaking up the sun then head to the Broadwater Parklands from 4pm and fill up from the all-nations food truck feast. The event will feature a bunch of local music talent including sets from The Twine, Sunset City and Cheap Fakes, and the kids are sure to enjoy the JJ Richards Adventure Zone.
This free event kicks off at 4pm and concludes at 8pm with a spectacular fireworks display, set to rival New Year's Eve. The colourful presentation will feature new live performance components not seen before at this event. Crowds will be wowed by fly boards, jet skis and jetpacks, while the fantastic fireworks light up across the Broadwater.
Parking options: There will be no parking available at Broadwater Parklands on the day. However, Southport is exempt from parking charges on public holidays. Parking areas close to Broadwater Parklands include Cloyne Road, Marshall Lane, Mal Burke Car Park and Carey Park Car Park.
