We believe these are the "Three P’s" of life, as opposed to the Three P’s that are considered crucial in the Real Estate industry - Price, Promotion and Presentation…. These new "Three P’s" are crucial to achieving in life!
On that note, it is time to let you know about our latest achievement or progress, so to speak… It has been part of our ‘work in progress’ over many months and has finally come to fruition. We are very excited to announce that our property management division, MBPS Property Management, has expanded with the acquisition of the Peter Currie Real Estate Rent Roll. The new Property Management shop will open next week at Shop 4, 25 Tedder Avenue – the former Maryon’s Shoes location.
We are conscious of the fact that it is not an ‘exciting’ new business coming to Tedder Avenue, however, it is very exciting for us to improve and grow our business and to be in position to offer a specialised service to our clients. Dian Currie, who a number of you will know, has been in the Property Management business for 30 years. Fifteen of those years were spent here in Main Beach prior to their move to Southport. Dian and her daughter, Linda Currie, will join Tania Manzelli, our Property Manager and together they will provide unprecedented service and added value to property management in Main Beach and surrounding areas. Our new "Three P’s" bring to mind a number of other achievements this week - not just for us, but for our Sellers and Buyers. I am seen in this photograph placing a SOLD sign on the beautiful ‘old’ house at 47 Woodroffe Avenue. It has just been waiting for the right family to come along and see it’s potential. We and the Seller are all very excited for the lovely family, who are going to turn this ‘solid structure’ into their new home! Congratulations to everyone!
Two other contracts become unconditional this week, Apartment 5 Main Place, which sold very quickly last week and Apartment 37 Aloha Lane, which also sold without going to market… Congratulations to the Sellers and Buyers!
We have another great new listing in Aloha Lane, a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, with 2 sought after, side by side car spaces. The apartment, which is featured below, is listed at $459,000 and presents a great opportunity to purchase a residence, investment or holiday home in Main Beach.
In Property Management, the apartment in Cronin Palms mentioned in last week’s newsletter is already leased. As is the apartment in Penola Court! We do have three new listings - a furnished apartment on the 14th level in The Crest, which is listed at $565.00 pw, an unfurnished apartment in Main Place listed at $460.00 pw and another furnished apartment in Scalinada, which is listed at $455.00 pw.

P.S. I could not resist telling you a very funny story, which will give you a little insight into Dian Currie and her dedication to Property Management. Today she received an urgent call from one of her many long term tenants. No, there was not a plumbing or electrical problem, however, the tenant called to ask a favour - ‘Would you mind going around to my place and check on the Christmas cake in the oven. I was called into work unexpectedly and the cake was in the oven – it takes 3 hours to cook….” Dian had a new oven installed only yesterday. The answer is – yes, of course she went around and checked on the cake! How is that for 'passion'...

Mr. Jeeves....
The Lame Duck
Another funny story… Last week Mr. Jeeves attracted a local “lame duck” (name unknown). “We” volunteered our Duck Stylist, Wendy and her clever husband, David, to provide a solution to the lame duck’s missing leg… Little did we know, that David was going to almost burn the house down whilst using his grinder to provide the “lame duck” with a Prosthesis… I had in mind a chopstick with a bandage on it… Now you know why I am not the Duck Stylist!
Well, as you can see from the photo collage, they did a great job of providing a prosthetic leg – WOW! However, he was rushed back to surgery after a fall off the reception desk, which caused his beak to be dismembered…. You can imagine our dilemma, as Wendy had already called the owner to say he was ready to be taken home. Fortunately, it was a clean break and a relatively easy fix, as he had apparently been operated on in the same area previously... So, a happy ending for all!
