This seems to aptly apply to so many things in life…
Including, the reason that the MBPS Sales Office was closed early last Saturday afternoon, which is so unusual… We had a very important commitment, which none of us could miss – our former Property Manager, Marilyn’s Wedding (see the picture below). It was at Jimboomba at 2 pm – Yes, I know, that is what I thought, “where…” It is near Tamborine, but if you decide to be adventurous and visit this beautiful place, take my tip – Do not follow your GPS… Yes, it maybe the shortest route if you are a ‘Crow’, but not when you are running late for a wedding. So, lots of laughs later, we finally arrived just in time to be part of Marilyn’s beautiful Wedding. Congratulations Marilyn and Terry!
Never a dull moment at MBPS - there was a little controversy in our office today leading up to the State of Origin match next week. It related to whether Mr. Jeeves should be dressed totally in Maroon or wear a little Blue to show we are always ‘unbiased’ – also, as we now have some New South Welshmen amongst us... As a result of our discussions, I was going to write about ‘friendly rivalry’, however, our saying today seemed to cover it all… No matter what the result – all will be good!
We are starting to see some of that certainty we were looking for following the Federal Election, with Buyers appearing to be more serious and Sellers feeling more confident to go out to the market. Mr. Jeeves....
State of Origin - Wednesday 6th June, 2019
Mr Jeeves is ready and raring to go for the 1st Round of the State of Origin on Wednesday night at Suncorp Stadium…. As you can see, there was overwhelming support for him to continue to wear his Maroon outfit, as he is considered a QUEENSLANDER!! New South Wales did get a little look-in, with our local children’s little friend ‘Spotting’, sporting a blue tie….
We have, however, come up with a solution for next year’s State of Origin, so watch this space…

SeaFire – International Fireworks Competition
Surfers Paradise becomes a playground of light, music and entertainment over two huge nights. Sea to sky will light up over Surfers Paradise beach in dramatic displays as nations compete for the 2019 SeaFire Championship title, from 31 May -1 June. SeaFire 2019 is a celebration of multi-culturalism. With four nations competing in what is still Australia’s only international fireworks competition, you can expect to see world-class pyrotechnic displays off ocean barges, choreographed to musical soundtracks.
