This week we have a new contract, the circumstances surrounding which, in some ways, confirms our saying from last week – “…and the decisions we waited too long to make…”. I hope our buyers do not mind me telling their story, however, I think a lot of our readers will enjoy and appreciate. Last year I met a lovely couple from Melbourne, who were looking for an Investment property. As many of you will know, Main Beach is, in the most, a “lifestyle” choice, rather than a “good investment”, if we are to be ‘honest’… So, after viewing several apartments with me and doing their thorough research they decided “investment” in Main Beach was not an option. A couple of weeks ago, I received a call from the buyer saying “Annette, it is sooooooooo cold in Melbourne, we have decided we are now looking for the “lifestyle choice not the Investment” – the rest is history, as they say…
We look forward to many more people from the south feeling the ‘cold’ this winter!!
I must also clarify, that we do still have good investment opportunities in the smaller long term rental blocks, such as Cam-a-Lew Court, Chidori Court and Kings Row, for example. Also the Maldives apartments are great investments with purchase prices of under $400 and rental income of between $380 to $400 per week.
We, in fact, have three New Contracts this week, both Apartment 71 Xanadu and 504 The Maldives are under 'unconditional' Contract and 4/80 Pohlman Street in Southport is under ‘conditional’ contract. Congratulations to the Sellers and Buyers and to the Sales Team, who have all had ‘a finger in the pies’…

Mr Jeeves...
The Gold Coast Marathon
Mr. Jeeves is ready to support those incredibly energetic people who are partaking in the Marathon this weekend. That is a mean feat and we take our hats off to them!
Mr. Jeeves has been a little quiet lately, other than being dressed for the State of Origin, which we purposely did not publish, as ‘some’ had the opinion that he must be dressed in Maroon, as he resides in Queensland. They did not appreciate that it is the “State of Origin” not the “State of Residence”. Bren had a brilliant idea, suggesting that Mr. Jeeves represents the ‘Referee’ in the next game, rather than ‘a’ team – so, watch this space…
