Finally, I am writing over a glass of red again, so I hope ‘my editors’ approve and do not find too many errors…
Our saying this week is appropriate in so many ways and it made us laugh so much this afternoon, it replaced the saying we had originally chosen – “Take time to laugh, it is the music of the soul…”
I must admit, we certainly “take time to laugh…” at MBPS - as those of you who know us are aware! We have a rule in our office – “if you are not having fun in what you do, do not do it…” I learnt that very valuable lesson at the ripe old age of 18 years from my dear Dad! How fortunate are we to have had that wisdom from our parents…
Speaking of laughter and fun - this coming long weekend – 30th August to 1st September – is the Gold Coast Show weekend. So, we would expect lots of fun and laughter!!! Mr. Jeeves, as seen below, has been promoting the Show today.
Next weekend there is a very welcomed event in Main Beach – The Main Beach Spring Flower Festival – details of which are under our Main Beach section below.

Our new listing last week – the 1 bedroom, plus multipurpose room – is SOLD! Congratulations to the happy Sellers and Buyers! Also, to Carmen and myself, who negotiated the sale!
The 2 bedroom apartment in The Meriton, which we mentioned last week is featured below. The apartment, which is listed at $630,000, has great Broadwater views and would make a wonderful new home or investment.
I am tempted at this juncture to mention an ‘incident’ some years ago - why not - when we advertised an Apartment for Sale as "either reside or incest"– of course we meant ‘invest’… Speaking of laughs!!

For 2 days, 7-8 September 2019, the Tedder Avenue shopping precinct will be awash with flowers, food, fashion and fun - including a rooftop stage and Jaguar Bar, immersive floral installations and sculptures by floral rockstar Julia Rose and a student floral competition judged by 2019 World Floral Design Champion Bart Hassam, over 100,000 blooms from local growers and wholesalers, free and paid workshops, Porsche and vintage cars, exhibitor stalls and pop-up shops, children's activities and face painting, music, talks and performances, street entertainment and more!
