This week at MBPS

“Here’s to all volunteers, those dedicated people who believe in all work and no pay”, the words of Robert Orben. I am lost for words… How do you express thanks and gratitude to all of those amazing Rural Fire Service Volunteers, who risk their lives to save others? They put in so many hours of their own time, including taking time off from their jobs, or temporarily closing their businesses. They are away from their loved ones to help those in need. THANK YOU!!
Thank you also, to all the other Volunteers, and there are hundreds, who feed and accommodate those in need and take in their animals!
Our thoughts and prayers are with all who have been affected by the shocking fires.
I feel that after all that has been happening around us, what has been ‘happening’ at MBPS…
However, we must mention our New Listings, although not yet ready to go out to the wider market, we have been given the authority to ‘release’ them to our clients, whilst waiting for photography, etc. They are very diverse –
A ‘corner’ apartment in Liberty Pacific, with 2 of everything - 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 living areas, 2 car spaces and 2 storage areas… Oh, plus an office and beautifully renovated! It is listed for sale at $1,650,000 and available to view by appointment at any time.
The second property is a 511m2 block of land in Tedder Avenue, with a gorgeous ‘old’ cottage on it. It is in need of a little ‘TLC’ and most will see the value in the land and not the ‘cottage’, sadly… The sign will go up next week and the property will be listed to sell at $1,500,000. The house is tenanted, so we will require notice to view internally, however, a ‘drive by’ will reveal its value!
We have also had two new contracts this week, with Apartment 5 Atlantis East and Apartment 80 Xanadu North both going under Contract - Congratulations to the Sellers and Buyers! Also, to Bren and Carmen who negotiated the Sales!
The Contract on Apartment 44 Oscar on Main settled this week leaving our Sellers and Buyers very happy – so, congratulations to them all!
Our Featured Properties this week are - the ‘massive’ 5 bedroom Villa at 37A Peak Avenue, which is now listed at $1,600,000 and at the other end of the spectrum, the 2 bedroom apartment at 1/35 Breaker Street, Main Beach, which as we mentioned last week, has had a significant 'price reduction’ and is now listed at $379,000 – a great investment with Body Corporate Levies of only $41 a week...
In Property Management this week:
Jordan has leased the Cable Beach apartment that was for rent or sale, so it is now off our For Sale list – Congratulations Jordan!
He has also leased the apartment in Yachting Towers, which was recently purchased by our lovely locals, upgrade and placed back in our care to lease – again congratulations!
The Sunbird apartment is now under application, so it may not be on the market for much longer…
Rosa, has also been extremely busy, leasing three properties this week, so 2/3513 Main Beach Parade, 1602/2 Aqua St and 6/96 Pohlman are no longer available – Congratulations Rosa!

It is right opposite our Property Management Division, on the corner of Peak and Tedder Avenues, where the Doctor’s surgery was located for many years, prior to moving down into Tedder Avenue.

Borrie's Bespoke Tailors
We are a little late with letting you know that we have a ‘Tailor’ in town – or did we mention him before? “Borrie's Bespoke Tailors” is amazing and a must to visit, just so that you know they are there. The reason for us mentioning today - apologies if we did not before – however, we had one of our local friends looking for a seamstress yesterday…
