This week our ‘theme’ as I call it, came about as Monday, 21 September is “International Day of Peace”. According to Wikipedia, “The International Day of Peace, sometimes unofficially known as World Peace Day, is a United Nations-sanctioned holiday observed annually on 21 September. It is dedicated to world peace, and specifically the absence of war and violence, such as might be occasioned by a temporary ceasefire in a combat zone for humanitarian aid access.”
We, seized the moment, so to speak to highlight “peace” as having meaning in our day to day lives and how we can all bring a little peace to each other’s lives, by those small gestures, such as a smile or a good word… And, we couldn’t resist the ‘meditating dog’…
According to the United Nations website - “The 2020 theme for the International Day of Peace is “Shaping Peace Together.” Celebrate the day by spreading compassion, kindness and hope in the face of the pandemic.”
