Great things take time to bloom…
I am sure you can all relate to this image. For me, it is Oh my gosh, it’s Friday again… I just could not resist this image I found whilst looking for an appropriate saying for our Newsletter.
Our saying this week comes about for two reasons – one, our move, which seems to be taking forever, although the time is nigh… Secondly, we are not only moving, we are commencing our 2nd decade in business. This month is our 10 year anniversary! WOW where did that 10 years go?
We are very excited about our move – not only the wider footpath we can ‘have a chat’ on, however, a spacious reception/meeting area, which we hope will encourage you to ‘come in and have a chat’.
I was going to place the image in the Mr. Jeeves section, however, I thought it bore a striking resemblance to me, thus… The picture that was to have been placed here is below – ‘We’re moving uptown’!
Also, under our Main Beach section below we have added a snapshot of the “Queensland’s COVID Safe Future” published by the Queensland Government and also a ‘snippet’ of information for those of you who are desperate to return to Queensland and may not know, it may be useful… Although, I believe Howard Springs quarantine facility in Darwin is no longer a secret, we only learnt of the facility this week, so we thought we would share.

Apartment 2 Waimaru settled this week. We wish a fond farewell to our lovely local friends, John and Elizabeth, who have owned the apartment for 30 years and have now moved to what they are pleased to describe as a ‘Resort’ – Congratulations to them and to the lovely young couple who will now make Waimaru their home for the next …. years! Congratulations also to Claire who bought the parties together!
In Property Management this week they have been so busy, I have not even received the latest update, however, last I heard they had leased 3 properties in Main Beach and Paradise Waters and have 2 properties under application in Main Beach and Southport. So, the requirement for rental properties does not appear to be diminishing…

Queensland’s COVID Safe Future

COVID quarantine escape!
According to an ABC news article on Howard Springs facility “While travellers from COVID-19 hotspot areas such as Victoria and Sydney face restrictions on interstate travel, they can travel to Darwin. Once there, they have to quarantine at a facility in the city's rural area for two weeks, at a cost of $2,500 for individuals and $5,000 for a family. Unlike hotel quarantine for international arrivals — where travellers forfeit fresh air and the freedom to exercise — residents at the Howard Springs facility are able to walk around the facility, enjoy Top End sunsets and even go for a swim. The facility is a disused workers camp about 25 kilometres south of the Darwin CBD.”
