An extremely late Newsletter, once again, my apologies. One of our lovely locals said today, "I have not seen your Newsletter yet, you have not mentioned your glass of red recently"... I had to be honest and said it is because of the glass of red you have not seen the Newsletter. I arrived home from the office last evening around 7:30 pm, poured my glass of red, went to relax for 5 minutes and I must admit I totally forgot about the Newsletter. I do not think I even realised it was Friday – yes, only one glass…
According to Wikipedia – “Halloween or Hallowe'en (a contraction of All Hallows' Evening), also known as Allhalloween, All Hallows' Eve, or All Saints' Eve, is a celebration observed in a number of countries on 31 October, the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Hallows' Day. Further according to Wikipedia, “It is widely believed that many Halloween traditions originated from ancient Celtic harvest festivals, particularly the Gaelic festival Samhain; that such festivals may have had pagan roots; and that Samhain itself was Christianized as Halloween by the early Church. Some believe, however, that Halloween began solely as a Christian holiday, separate from ancient festivals like Samhain.”

It has been business as usual this week and despite our ‘new shop’ still a work in progress, with our window displays not quiet up and running and only our temporary reception desk in place, we have been receiving a lot of lovely comments. Our temporary window displays are certainly attracting attention, with a local gentleman almost driving up on to the footpath to view one night this week. It was raining and he apparently just wanted a closer look at what we were doing – it was the funniest thing... However, again a huge compliment – thank you, once again, to all!

And finally, without going to the broader market, the Villa at 37A Peak Avenue is SOLD, having settled yesterday. Congratulations to the happy sellers and buyers! And, on this one I must congratulate myself, it has been a long time coming!
Claire has had a great week – in addition to the two settlements, the Contract on Apartment 15 Main Beach Tower went unconditional and she obtained one of those ‘unmentionable’ conditional contracts… Good on you Claire!
Another of our ‘unmentionable’ Contracts has now gone unconditional, Apartment 302 Park Lane. Congratulations to the Sellers, Buyers and to Carmen, who negotiated the Contract.
