In our 10 years in Real Estate Sales, we have not ever experienced what we have this past fortnight…
Is this the excuse for not publishing a Newsletter last week – Yes! We have had 14 Contracts of Sale (9 this week), 5 Settlements, 2 New listings and another 6 potential listings in the making. I was going to say “we are literally out of stock” if all conditional contracts proceed as expected, however, not quite true, we have 3 properties left - 2 of those are our new listings and have not yet been presented to the market…
These are certainly unprecedented times for us. As they say, ‘never complain when your busy’, or it is a ‘good problem to have’…
This week I looked back at where were where and what we were doing 1 year ago… A lot has happened since then, however, some things never change… Our saying was “It's not 'can'; it's 'will.' You have to will things into fruition!” A week before we had welcomed two new staff members, Claire Branson in Sales and Aleesa Simpson, in Property Management. Well, last week we would have been welcoming Mary Tatton, our new Sales Consultant and Jonathan Shearer our new Property Manager! So, welcome to them both. We are yet to have those ‘welcome’ drinks, that caused last years Newsletter to be late, however, we will do so as soon as time permits...
We finally have another apartment in Xanadu for sale… It is a “C” style, spacious, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, with 1 car and large storage. This hard to come by apartment has fabulous views from level 17 of the Xanadu East complex, overlooking the Pacific Ocean with brilliant views to Coolangatta, on a clear night you can count the stars! Main Beach News...
New branding – “Our Main Beach”, powered by Main Beach Business and Tourism Association Inc.
As I have mentioned previously, I am currently the Treasurer of the Main Beach Business and Tourism Association (MBBTA). We are all extremely excited with the Associations new branding “Our Main Beach” which is the genius of the former Main Beach Progress Association Committee, who have now joined forces with Main Beach Business and Tourism Association Inc. They have great talents and are definitely an asset to the Association. So welcome to Kirsten, Walt and Helen, who have joined Len, Selena and I on the Main Beach Business and Tourism Association Committee.
We are encouraging all Main Beach residents, property owners and visitors who enjoy the amenities of Main Beah, to join the Association, because we need a ‘kick start’ to fund ‘events’, which will in turn bring business and tourism to Main Beach.
I have suggested that we offer a 15 month membership to those who join now at $50, instead of the $25 pro rata offer in place… So please join by following the link below. I have offered to pay the difference in membership if all the people on our database join… What a difference it can make to a community to have an Association with that kind of support… We appreciate you all taking an interest!

Beyond the Sand Arts Festival
Beyond the Sand Arts Festival (formerly known as Sand Safari Arts Festival) will transform Surfers Paradise into a beachfront gallery of colour, movement and music across nine spectacular days and nights from 13 to 21 March 2021.
