Do you sometimes feel like a computer – you need defragging and rebooting… Well I do, often - the brain gets a little jumbled and the right words do not quickly come to mind. The Team will say, you shouldn’t admit that, however, I think we should and I found a temporary ‘fix’ – simply ‘unplug for a few minutes’ and take time to have a chat. Any excuse for a chat…

Speaking of excuses, the only one for another ‘fortnightly’ Newsletter is that somebody stole Monday to Friday again last week – this week too, for that matter… I hate to be repetitive, but yes, we are busy…

In Sales this week we have 2 New Listings –

A Courtyard apartment in Malibu, a beautifully presented renovated 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, with powder room and 2 separate car spaces. This apartment, which is 231m2 internally, is more like a house or a one level Villa, with a 22m2 covered terrace, 53m2 deck, a yard and garden. The Seller is seeking ‘Expressions of Interest’. In this market it is ‘impossible’ for us to guess the value of this somewhat unique property, so please call us to arrange an inspection at any time and you be the judge of the value to you…

We have another apartment in Xanadu, a high floor with amazing ‘never to be built-out’ views.The apartment which is on the south/east corner of the East Tower has been renovated to a high standard and for the right price will include the quality furnishings. Again, we are asking you to be the judge of the value to an extent, as it is listed at “Offers over $1,200,000”. One of our ‘unmentionable contracts’, Apartment 23 Royal Surfrider is now unconditional. This is one of those off market sales, which we could have sold many times over and we are now seeking similar apartments in Royal Surfrider for those who ‘missed out’. So, if you know of anyone wishing to sell, please let them know.

We have had two Contracts settle this week - Apartment 4 in Malibu and 20 Carmen Court, Oxenford. Congratulations to the happy Sellers and Buyers! Also, to Claire who bought the parties together! Apartment 4 Malibu was another off market sale…

Two of our ‘off market’ properties went under Contract this week – Apartment 39 Oscar on Main and Apartment 49 King Row Centre. Congratulations to the happy Sellers and Buyers! I am not sure that we even had an opportunity to let you know about these two, as the ink on the Authority was hardly dry when the Contracts were put in place… Well done Carmen and Claire who negotiated the Contracts!

The good news is that we are also busy with Appraisals – so watch this space…

The 2021 Australian Swimming Championships

The Gold Coast Aquatic Centre is proud to be hosting the 2021 Swimming Championships in April 2021.

This comprises of two events running consecutively from 5 April. The 2021 Australian Age Swimming Championships which will take place from 5 to 12 April and the 2021 Australian Swimming Championships 14 to 18 April with a pre-meet training day on 13 April.

These are both high-profile events on the Australian swimming calendar in the lead-up to the Tokyo 2020 qualifications, with competitors, families and spectators coming from across Australia to participate.

The Gold Coast Aquatic Centre will close to the public from 4pm Saturday 3 April and will reopen at 5am Monday 19 April.
