My mind was awash with many diverse thoughts as I sat at my computer in the ‘wee hours’ of this morning to write the Newsletter. So instead, I baked a cake… Yes, sounds crazy, however, I needed to focus on something to get my mind back on track.
There is of course a story behind the cake, which I won’t bore you with, however, almost a year ago, at Christmas time when our local friends ‘the Boyz’ brought in Christmas cake for the Team, Carmen said “Annette you have not cooked your pineapple boiled fruit cake for a long time” … My excuse was that I needed to “leave town” to buy the ingredients… So, voila, as they say... Let’s hope it is like riding a bike…
You may ask, what possessed me to write about baking a cake… Well, I believed it was in keeping with our saying this week. Also, sometimes when your mind gets ‘over loaded’ you need to ‘change tack’, so to speak…
Another appropriate saying may have been - “Procrastination is the thief of time, collar him” from Charles Dickens. Or, as my dear Dad would say consistently – “Never do tomorrow what you can do today”.
If I had taken time to review the ‘entertainment’ emails that one of our lovely locals supplies each week, I would have had a much clearer mind this morning… I must thank Peter for all the laughs he provides! One of which, we have shared below.

Featured below are the two New Listings highlighted in our Newsletter last week. Apartment 9 Marquis on Main and Apartment 83 Xanadu North.
We are aware that it is not ideal to market properties for sale as “Expressions of Interest” and that buyers are often frustrated at not having a List Price to work with. In the case of Apartment 83 it is exceedingly difficult to quantify, given that it is Level 4, with Ocean Views, yet not beach front… We have prepared information on recent sales in the Complex, together with an indication of the rise in prices, percentage wise, given the lapse of time since those last sales. Please contact us if you would like us to share that data.
Whilst the entire Team have been working on various property Appraisals this week, we do not have any ‘new stock’ to offer. However, once again, please watch this space…
Two of our ‘unmentionable’ Contract are now unconditional, so virtually SOLD – Congratulations to the Sellers and Buyers of Apartment 16D Sunbird and Apartment 8 Norfolk. Also, to Carmen who negotiated both Contracts.
8/84 High Street, Southport settled yesterday - Congratulations to the happy sellers and buyers and to Claire, who negotiated the Contract!
The Property Management team have also been extremely busy with the high demand of tenant enquiries and processing applications for those few properties available to rent.
