Against the assault of laughter, nothing can stand – Mark Twain
You may wonder why on earth we would have a picture of an abseiler in our Newsletter… Even when we get up at the ‘crack of dawn’ to catch up on some work – laughter takes precedence… One morning this week I was on the phone discussing an urgent Appraisal with one of the Team, as you do at 6.45 am - a business meeting, so to speak – when a man flew by my window… It’s OK he was abseiling - I blurted out ‘Jeez, there’s a man flying by my window – who does that at 6:45 am? Whatever happened to ‘peace and quiet and being able to run around naked?” And, no – I was not… We laughed hard… We should thank the ‘abseiler’ for a fun start to the day… Although, we did not finish our Appraisal, as I rushed off to snap this pic, so she would believe me… Then off to prepare for an 8 am meeting. Once again, never complain when you are busy - as long as you can fit the laughs in between…
In looking for an appropriate saying this week I discovered why I rarely take holidays – Milton Berle said “Laughter is an instant vacation”…
As usual, we have a number of “irons in the fire” that have not yet come to fruition, including another ‘unmentionable’ Contract the week – so, please watch this space…
