This week at MBPS
If you hang out with chickens, you’re going to cluck and if you hang out with eagles, you’re going to fly - Steve Maraboli
I started writing this Newsletter with the thought of “Energy” in mind, as that has been the subject of many discussions this week, however, when I saw this saying, it seemed fitting …
One of the regulars at the Gym said to me last Saturday, ‘do you work today’, to which I replied ‘yes, I work every day’ - they seemed shocked, so I corrected myself and said, “well, my work is actually my entertainment, my lifestyle, so it is not actually work, it is my fun” - then they seemed to understand… How lucky am I!
So, today as part of my ‘fun’ I was interviewing for a new ‘Team Member’ – yes, we continue to ‘grow’… The subject of ‘energy’ came up and I realised, that like the word ‘nous’ it is not a word that people necessarily understand the meaning of. I say, ‘do they have energy?’, as all our Team members do, and it is important that any additions to the Team are of like mind and energetic. Wendy understood and commented “energy creates energy” … So, I went about trying to put into words my feeling about what it is when people have ‘energy’ – yes, it is a ‘feeling’ and something that I appear to have grown up with, without even realising. I just knew what it meant, however, others do not. To explain my understanding of that ‘feeling’ was not easy - I believe it is, get-up-and-go, determination, enthusiasm, ambitious drive – ‘the fire in the belly’, as ‘they’ say… I am not sure that I have that right, so please correct me if I am wrong.
Speaking of they - have you ever wondered who “they” are? My grandmother said it all the time – “they say…” and I could never establish who “they” were…
Enough of my ramblings…
As you can see, we had a fun Melbourne Cup afternoon. I must thank the Team for deciding to continue our tradition of enjoying the afternoon ‘in house’ and a special ‘thank you’ to Wendy who did the catering… The ‘grazing’ plates were amazing! And that is exactly what we did, graze…
This week at MBPS we have 3 New Listings, 1 New Contract and we have had 4 Settlements, so another busy week…
One of our new listings, 4/29 Watson Esplanade, Surfers Paradise, is a perfect ‘land banker’, investment (tenant in place), or first home. Situated in a block of just four units, directly across the road from Main River, this 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom unit, with river views, is light and bright and presents opportunity plus! Listed at “Offers Over $460,000. We will feature next week, once we obtain photographs, however, in the meantime please call Claire to arrange an inspection.
We have another 2 bedroom apartment on Level 5 in Sunbird. Apartment 5A is being offered fully furnished at “Offers Over $780,000”. Again, we will feature once photography has been obtained. Please call Carmen for further details or to arrange to view.
Our 3rd New Listing, is ‘unmentionable’ – I know, how do you sell a secret… However, this is a matter of putting those ‘jig-saw pieces together.’ We have been given the opportunity to ‘marry up the partiesb so to speak and not to present to the broader market at this stage.
Our new contract, is also another of those ‘unmentionable’, as it is not yet unconditional…
Carmen has had three Settlements this week - Apartment 2073 Liberty, Apartment 1B Sunbird, Apartment 16D Sunbird. Congratulations to the happy Sellers and Buyers and of course to Carmen who bought the parties together!
Claire has also had a Settlement this week - 26/72 Marine Parade, Surfers Paradise. So, congratulations to those happy Sellers and Buyers! Also, to Claire who literally put the ‘jig-saw’ pieces together, as the property never went to market…
Featured below is Apartment 88 De Ville, mentioned previously, whilst we were awaiting photography. The apartment, which is unique, is the result of two east facing apartments being amalgamated into one, resulting in a three bedroom apartment, with a large office and two living areas, spread across the entire front of the building from North through to the South. You can imagine the views!
Also featured below is the 1 bedroom Apartment in the Maldives, mentioned previously. "This apartment makes the most of its size, which is enhanced by the abundance of natural light. Enjoy refreshing ocean views from floor to ceilings windows and salty breezes from your private balcony." Very affordable and a great investment at $425,000.
Have a great weekend!
Very best wishes,
