We were gifted yesterday with an impromptu dance performance by a gorgeous little girl who danced uninhibited on the footpath in front of our shop. She was dancing to the live music being provided by one of our locals and 2 of his muso friends who kindly offered to bring a little Christmas cheer to Tedder Avenue – it was priceless, as they say!
Now we have found a whole new purpose for the footpath…
The theme of this Newsletter this week was to have been ‘the power of words’ and how one kind word can change someone’s entire day… We have all experienced that ‘feel good’ moment when a compliment or a kind word is directed our way. It can be so simply, yet how often do we think to ‘make someone’s day’ with a compliment? The power of words came to mind this week as once again we received several ‘feel good’ messages from our ‘readers’… Thank you!
I then discovered that many of you may not have received our Newsletter last week, due to the choice of words… Apparently certain words used in the ‘subject line’ will trigger the email being considered ‘spam’, which will then be automatically redirected to your ‘junk’ or ‘spam’ mail… The way in which I write, this could mean that receipt of our Newsletters is a bit like a ‘lottery’ – it may arrive or may not… I think ‘political correctness’ has become too hi tech!
We do know that a few of you who made comment did receive and we were very pleased to hear that our Mr. Jeeves’ joke about the ‘dog’s jacket’ provide some laughs – again, thank you for the feedback!
