This week at MBPS
Got no checkbooks, got no banks, still I’d like to express my thanks. I got the sun in the morning and the moon at night - Irving Berlin (sic)
We have often said how important relationships are, in life and of course in all businesses, however, when they bring laughter and treats to the table, we must say, once again – how lucky are we!
I wrote the ‘preamble’ to this Newsletter yesterday after a phone conversation with a new ‘relationship’, who I would like to call a ‘friend’. You know how you laugh freely with a friend and the words in the conversation are not what is important – although, as I was taking instruction in this case, I did pay attention... The moral of the story is that when I hung up the phone after a good ‘belly laugh’ I felt like I had been on holiday – how good is that!
I must say, I was disappointed that I did not save the document from yesterday and in fact ‘lost’ the preamble I had written - oops…
I do recall that I went on to say, ‘thank you’, not only to our newfound friend, however, to our local friends, who not only delivered ‘laughs’ this week, but ‘treats’, including apple muffins, fruit cake, chocolate fudge and banana cake – do we really look like we need weight enhancing food? Thank you to everyone!
Then last evening we received the photograph below from our local friends, who often share their wonderful sunsets and make a delish fruit cake – thank you Boyz!
Oh, and another ‘thank you’ to Mr. Jeeves’ joke provider, who happens to also be a ‘good cook’…
After writing this it seemed to me that the theme of the Newsletter this week needed to be ‘gratitude’ and the value of saying ‘Thank you’! As how many times does it go unsaid, when gratitude is due and not given?
During my search for our saying this week I also found and liked:
- This is a wonderful day I have never seen this one before - Maya Angelou; and
- Appreciation is a wonderful thing. It makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well – Voltair
- Live a life full of humility, gratitude, intellectual curiosity, and never stop learning - GZA
In Sales this week, we have another new listing in the sought after complex of Xanadu. Apartment 3 Xanadu East is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 149m2 ‘B’ style (center) apartment on the first level in Xanadu East. The apartment, which has not changed hands in 22 years, is in excellent original condition. It offers a large wrap around balcony, east-facing aspect, with water ‘glimpse’, right across the road from the beach. Given the buyer enquiry specifically looking for the Xanadu complex, we are once again, seeking ‘expressions of interest’ prior to going to the wider market. Please call for further information or to arrange an inspection at any time.
Apartment 2021 Liberty Panorama, mentioned in last week’s newsletter, is featured below, together with th Sub-Penthouse in XXV Breaker Street Residences.
One of our ‘unmentionable’ contracts is now unconditional and therefore considered SOLD - 2/4 Winchester Crescent, Pimpama. Congratulations to the happy Sellers and Buyers and to Clarie, who negotiated the Contract!
We had another settlement this week - Apartment 88 De Ville, so congratulations to the happy Sellers and Buyers and to Carmen, who brought the parties together.
In Property Management, we have leased the three bedroom waterfront duplex in Biggera Waters this week and we are working on a couple of new rental properties that should come to the market soon, so please watch this space!
Have a great weekend!
Very best wishes,
