Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much – Helen Keller
Our saying this week is all about the generosity displayed by the Main Beach Community this past few days when we set up an MBPS Flood Relief Donation Point at our front door. The photographs below show only a small portion of the donations so far - words cannot describe the generosity that flowed in and continues to do so…
The Donation Point is for items that the flood victims really need, such as cleaning products, brooms, cleaning brushes, buckets etc. They also need toiletries, sanitary items, nappies and pet food. Charities have already covered the need for clothes, toys, linen, furniture and the like and the above items are part of the ‘missing link’ to assist them in the recovery process.
We are no more than the ‘conduit’, thanks to the Main Beach Community, who are so generously donating. We are distributing donations from the public to where it is most needed for flood victims around the Gold Coast and the Tweed area. We also now have ‘locals’ who are assisting with the deliveries… The support is inspiring!
We thank the Main Beach Community in advance for your generous donations. The ‘Community Spirit’ that has been displayed is amazing!
Please spread the word through Facebook and Instagram.
We will speak of business next week…
Have a great weekend!
Very best wishes,
