It’s the MBPS team bringing you the newsletter again this week, the weather was too warm for Annette in Main Beach so she has escaped to Central NSW… We hope she thaws out before her return later today….

Our unseasonably cold weather may, for a moment, cause us to wish we were somewhere else right now, basking with our faces skyward smiling into the sun’s soothing rays. You can calm yourself however with the fact that a lot of the country is suffering with us and that our maximum temperature is forecast to rise beyond the teens and that minimum is also set to return to the mean of at least double digits next week…. We are lucky that Tedder Ave tends to be a haven even when those icy winds fire up and we can still venture down to enjoy a meal, drink or a coffee. Try not to take the beautiful ocean or Broadwater views for granted if you do stay in… The upside of this weather are the spectacular sunrises and sunsets, this is a westward skyline shot taken by Carmen at sunset this week from her abode. Still wishing you were somewhere else? Main Beach is a pretty special place, even in the dead of Winter…

Our property market remains buoyed by the fact that stock remains at record low levels. Demand seems to have cooled slightly but still outstrips supply so sales usually achieve a record price.

Also along the topic of rentals and tenancies there is new legislation coming into effect later this year, likely the end of September and some of the changes are the most significant ever to occur. It is still unclear even to our premiere industry bodies exactly how this will affect current and new tenancies. We will update you as soon as further information becomes available.
