This week at MBPS
Technology is best when it brings people together…
I received a lovely email in response to one of our Newsletter’s recently. One of those ‘feel good moments’ I speak of! It was from an Australian women, “Mrs. B”, living in Italy part time with a ‘dream’ of living in Main Beach part time… As those of you who know me would realise, it resonated with me more than it would with most, as that has been my dream for many years. This kind women even sent photos, not realising that she would be ‘whetting my appetite’.
The email was a reminder that we should ‘follow our dreams’ and just make it happen – so watch this space… Retirement? Definitely not, I am having too much fun! How many people can honestly say that? And how many people are as fortunate as we, to meet so many lovely genuine people over the years?
Although, according to the email, we have not actually met, so reinforcing even more the power of technology. The email read “Hello Annette, You have not met me, but somehow, because I have responded to a particular property, I have been lucky to receive your newsletters for several years. Always enjoy the “quotes”. She went on to say, “… I always find your “stories” authentic and informative and fun” – that was the ‘feel good moment’. Oh, and I learned something new, I am an “Italophile”…
“Mrs. B” subsequently wrote – “Perhaps because we were in real estate buying a house on a “dream” didn’t seem so daunting. Believe me, there have been many challenges, but “penso domani” wins out. I will think about it tomorrow!” I have shared this saying, as it also resonated with me – how often do we say that with the everyday challenges of life? Certainly, I do - so when you hear me saying “penso domani”, you will understand!
Thank you “Mrs. B”. I look forward to meeting you when you return to Main Beach!
Speaking of ‘dreams’ – last evening I was at dinner with two dear friends who we met when we first moved to Main Beach, some 15 years ago, and at the end of our Chinese meal there were 3 Fortune Cookies – the last to be taken was mine - you will never guess - “Hold on to your dreams”!
Well, there is a great vibe in Main Beach, as usual… Almost every day I hear myself saying to someone who asks, “how are sales?” – “Well, we like all agents, are certainly short of stock, however, they come in and they go out – a little like stock on Woolie’s shelves on sales day…” It continues to be a Seller’s market, as there are certainly buyers around… As the locals say, ‘where would we go’…
We do have a New Listing in Xanadu, with Apartment 125 on the Northeast corner of the North Tower, being introduced to our database initially prior to going to market. We are currently waiting on photography; however, I have posted below a small collage of photos provided by the owner below – to ‘whet your appetite’…
We have also had two Sales this week –
Mary negotiated an unconditional Contract on Apartment 2 Newport on Main, which settles in 14 days. Congratulations Mary and of course the happy Seller and Buyer!
We have an unconditional Contract on the 2 bedroom apartment in Ocean Park Towers, which is another “Off Market” sale, however, it does not settle until February next year… So, we will report further closer to that time. It just goes to show – ‘anything is possible’! Congratulations to the happy sellers and buyer and to Carmen and myself, who brought the parties together!
One of our ‘unmentionable Contracts’ is also now unconditional, Apartment 24 Yachting Towers, so congratulations to the happy Sellers and Buyers, and to Carmen who negotiated the Contract.
We have had two Settlements this fortnight –
Apartment 6, 20 Rudd Street, Broadbeach Waters, which sold very quickly, settled on October 7th. Congratulations to the Seller and Buyer and to Claire who brought the parties together!
Apartment 19 The Crest settled this week - Congratulations once again to the very happy Sellers and Buyer and to Carmen who negotiated the Contract! Again, anything is possible – the Owner’s wanted to sell or rent, so we did both!
We have featured below Apartment 18 Yachting Towers, now with new photographs. Carmen will be at the apartment on Saturday, 22 October, between 10 – 10.30am for an Open Home, so please pop in an see her or alternatively call her on 0410 706 726 for further information or to arrange a private inspection at any time.
