This Saturday 10th of June 2023 there is a ‘street festival’ in Tedder Avenue which is in ‘aid’ of Music and Health Research – thus our saying this week.

Come and support the event by booking into one of the many Tedder Avenue restaurants or cafes and watch the parade go by. There will be a variety of musicians, dancers and a fashion parade all roving up and down Tedder Avenue.

We are envisaging that all the restaurants and cafes will be overflowing, so if you have not already reserved your table you may wish to do so. The festival runs from 2.30 to 5.00 pm.

For those of you who cannot make lunch we will be hosting ‘drinks’ at The Venue above MBPS, again as a fundraiser for the Music and Health Research. There is an entry fee, which is a “paper donation” of any amount you wish – as in ‘paper dollars’... All funds raised will go to this wonderful cause.

The Venue will be open between 2.30 to 5.00 pm and will provide a good vantage point from which to watch the activities. We hope you can join us and the festivities!

It is true that music is “food for the soul”... I have always believed in that saying and up until today – again attributed to my dear Dad – only to find that more than 200 years ago in 1818, Arthur Schopenhauer published his masterwork “Music is the food of soul” from his book, the World as Will and Representation... My Father at least did his part by passing it on... He loved music and was, ‘in the good old days’, a professional ballroom dancer - wouldn’t he be having fun this weekend. Come and dance in the street!

Our Newsletters are very ‘slow’ getting out these days and that is not only my “lateness”, which is the norm... The process of distribution can now apparently take many hours given the number of subscribers. So, our apologies, to those of you who were not aware of the planned activities in Tedder Ave, for what I am assuming will be very late notice.

As usual this week at MBPS we have ‘been busy’ – we have another new listing; a second contract on a property that was under a conditional contract; another contract ‘in the wings’, together with several potential new listings also ‘in the wings’, so please ‘watch this space’...
