This week at MBPS
What you think, you become. What you feel, you attract. What you imagine you create – Gautama Buddha
Our saying this week is very appropriate as I have been really wanting to share a word I was gifted recently – ‘discombobulated’, “the fact of being made to feel confused or uncomfortable by something”. I refrained until now, as I felt it may have been considered a negative rather than a positive and I do not ‘entertain’ negativity. So, today whilst speaking of being ‘discombobulated’, I decided to investigate becoming ‘combobulated’ - “to put together in order. To bring something out of a state of confusion or disarray.” So now suddenly I decided that I am ‘combobulated’... Some would say, “in whose opinion”...
When I mentioned to a friend this week that I was a little ‘discombobulated’, she initially loved the word, as it gave her a laugh, which is what I intended to do. We decided it could describe all of us at some stage in life and it is a good ‘fun’ word. This is support by a ‘snippet’ I found through my other friend ‘Google’ – “When it first appeared in the U.S. in the early 1800s, discombobulate was just a playful, rootless coinage conveying a sense of confusion. It was probably inspired by similar words like discomfit and discompose...”
So, I believe we are all ‘discombobulated’ at some stage in our lives and there is no reason we cannot then become ‘combobulated’ if we think positively!
In Sales this week - we are highlighting the two apartments we have listed for Sale in Spinnaker. They are both totally diverse –
Apartment 51, a beautifully presented renovated 3 bedroom home on level 12 which, given it is positioned on the Northeast corner of this McMaster built residential only building, offers views from the Ocean, over Main Beach to the Hinterland. This home, which is ready to move into, without the need to do anything, is listed at $1,995,000 and available to view at any time by appointment. It is featured below.
The other, a Sub-Penthouse, Apartment 117, which is a house in the sky and, as I often say, ‘must be seen to be appreciated’! Situated on Level 29, the views are magnificent from all angles, again situated on the Northeast corner. It is 323m2 of ‘original space’ and is listed at $4.2 million. Where in Main Beach can you buy 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, with at least 2 car spaces, if not 4 medium size cars, for those dollars? Again, available to view at any time by appointment.
We also have a New Listing this week, with Apartment 14 Ocean Park Towers is being presented to our clients only at this stage. Ocean Park Towers, another McMaster built residential only complex, is perched at Narrowneck, the ultimate location with beach and river frontage. Situated directly across the road from the beach and a surfing hotspot, a must-see opportunity, a home in this location, at this price point, in this prized pocket of Main Beach is rare indeed. Located on level 4, this apartment is spacious and light-filled, showcasing impressive views of the Nerang River, McIntosh Island, Hinterland sunsets and the evening lights of Main Beach and Surfers Paradise. Listed for at $1,050,000. Please call Carmen to arrange an inspection.
The Contract on Apartment 19A The Inlet settled this week, so we would like to congratulate the happy Sellers and Buyer! Also, Carmen who brought the parties together!
One of our ‘off market’ Sales, which became one of those ‘unmentionable’ Contracts, is now unconditional, so now considered “Sold”! Congratulations to the happy Sellers and Buyers of Apartment 65 The Meriton!
This is a great example of ‘putting the jig-saw puzzle together’. We had very clear instructions and a very long time available to us to sell this apartment and then the match was made, thanks to a referral from one of our kind locals and the ‘jig-saw puzzle’ was completed. We always appreciate the support we get from those who pass on the word to visit MBPS, “they will look after you”. We also want to thank the Sellers for placing their trust in us!
In Property Management this week –
Apartment 21 Main Beach Views, a spacious unfurnished 2 bedroom apartment in a very conveniently located ‘walk-up’ only 2 blocks from the beach and a stones through to the Yacht Club. We have just had a rent reduction, so it is very reasonable at $740 per week - it is ‘Murphy’s Law’ when you have unfurnished, there are tenants wanting ‘furnished’...
2/22 Central Street, Labrador, which has just come on the market as a ‘Break Lease’, so again good value at $490 per week for a 2 bed, 1 bath.
The Townhouse at 267 Ashmore Road, is now under Application.
Please do not miss our Open Home below.
Have a great weekend!
Very best wishes,
