We were, once again, thinking of our wonderful Community of Main Beach this past week and reminiscing about a number of our dear local friends from the present and past, which brought us to our saying this week.
It also made me think of the kindness of one of our locals, Lynne Goodard, who works tirelessly to create fundraising events through an organisation by the name Showcase IT Inc. According to their website “Money raised goes towards medical research and funding the public performances of up and coming artists; talent whose lives have benefited from music as a therapeutic aid; education and improving the mental health and well-being of our communities.” See the Showcase IT Inc. website via the link below.
Lynne recently invited me to speak at one such event in Main Beach, ‘Friday at Five’, and whilst I really appreciated the thought, my initial reaction was ‘thank you, but no thank you’ – I could never speak in public. Now that sounds crazy coming from someone that speaks to the public every day all day and, as some of you will be aware, “I talk a lot’! However, at this ‘ripe ol age’ I had never spoken to an audience before... Anyway, after getting over the shock, I felt so ‘privileged’ to have been asked I said “yes” – then worried for a month or two as to how I would manage... All went well with the audience apparently interested to hear from a ‘local’ Main Beach Real Estate Agent what, in my humble opinion, the market is doing and is set to do in the near future. So, thank you Lynne for supporting MBPS and having faith in my ability to overcome the challenge of ‘public speaking’!
I actually realised that all I had to do was repeat what I say almost everyday to the ‘people on the street’ – our market continues to be buoyant due to the lack of supply and will continue to be so, notwithstanding all of the new developments, given that so many people just want to secure a ‘small piece’ of our wonderful Village and Community of Main Beach!
Speaking about securing a “piece” of Main Beach, we are very pleased to have been gifted with the opportunity to sell an apartment in Xanadu North, which will not be presented to the market until the New Year, as it is currently being rented through the Holiday Pool and as you can imagine access to view is very limited. We do, however, have opportunities to view during ‘guest change over’ times, so please feel free to call for further information. We will present through our Newsletter once photography is completed.
Featured below is Apartment 76 Spinnaker, which we have mentioned as a ‘quiet’ listing previously. We have now had the opportunity to obtain photography and will go to market next week, so please call for further information or to arrange an inspection in advance of those who are not ‘in the know’... As you can see, this spacious 3 bedroom apartment has magnificent ocean views!
We also have a new Contract this week with Apartment 24 Royal Surfrider now under an unconditional Contract, so considered SOLD! Two of our unmentionable Contracts are also now unconditional, Apartment 2 Dimitrius Court and 8 Main Place, so they are also now considered SOLD! We would like to congratulate the happy Sellers and Buyer and thank you for your ‘custom’!
We continue to be very busy in Property Management, having this week leased our New Listing in Golden Sands, Apartment 1403. Also, over the past fortnight Apartment 23 The Meriton, 26 Kings Row South, 2 Newport on Main and 2/14 Hughes Avenue have all been leased and we now have an application on 28 Little Norman Street, Southport.
