Maturity is about Challenging yourself and Improving! And then taking that experience to help others - Tsem Tulku
It appears these days I am constantly hearing the words “we are getting old” and I continue to say “we are not getting old, we are maturing, like a good bottle of red”...
So when I was researching for an appropriate saying this week in keeping with local news, i.e. the Gold Coast Marathon, I saw ‘Maturity’ and ‘Challenge’ in the same sentence and thought to myself – the aging process is a ‘challenge’, not quite that of running a Marathon, however, there are many similarities – life is a ‘Marathon’ which brings many ‘Challenges’...
This took me to another thought process of the ‘Challenges’ in the life of Real Estate and again in keeping with our saying this week, how we endeavour to use our ‘experiences’ to help others... I wish that was the ‘ethos’ of a number of others in our field... One of our ‘challenges’ this week was with the lack of ethics displayed by another Real Estate Agent (outside of Main Beach), who clearly does not have their clients interest at heart – very disappointing and what gives the industry a poor reputation... As I have said before, a ‘challenge’ we must overcome on a regular basis and a good reason to consider how we at MBPS could ‘relabel’ ourselves and become a ‘service’ that is not ‘labelled’ Real Estate Agent... Then I saw another saying by Morgan Freeman “Challenge yourself; it’s the only path which leads to growth”...
Another saying I heard this week and enjoyed was “Motion is Lotion”, from my physio... This not only brings us back to the ‘aging process’, but also the Marathon. We would like to wish all those participating the ‘best of luck’! We admire the tenacity of all of you and in particular, those who have disabilities, i.e. extraordinary ‘challenges’ - All the best!
