I was looking for a saying this week about people or their professions being 'label' instead of treated with individual respect...
We have mentioned previously the constant battle we have to stand aside from the average and avoid the ‘label’ that comes with our Licence “Real Estate Agent” - like ‘Car Sales’ we tend to be ‘labelled’ and often not considered in a favourable light... It is a shame, as I believe the industry loses many good Salespeople who cannot sustain living with the ‘label’. If we could keep them in the industry, I see that one day the ‘label’ would be positive not negative.
Speaking of negative and the unethical behaviour of some, potentially the minority of Real Estate Agents, this week I felt like contributing my retirement to the unethical behaviour of one of our local agents – however, then I thought – ‘what am I thinking’ we can rise above this, and I am not only far too young to retire, but I am also having too much fun! It was only a fleeting thought, but I must say the behaviour of some clearly weights on the ethical Agent!
Then the cards turned when we received compliments this week on our ‘honesty’, not just once, but from multiple clients – thank you! So, we remain determined to change the perception of Real Estate Agents... Perhaps we were subliminally conscious of the industry we were entering 14 years ago when we ‘branded’ ourselves “Main Beach Property Sales”, i.e. Selling Main Beach – not Main Beach Real Estate...
We have had another incredibly busy week, thus another late Newsletter...
Speak of ‘adding diversity’ to our new listing – this week we have 4 New Listings. Two which are currently in our Property Management portfolio and would be a good investments for those wishing to invest or perhaps entry level into the market for first home buyers.

Main Beach News...
Main Beach Post Office – it is official!
We are delighted to have been provided with the opportunity by Graeme Isaacson to make the “Official” announcement that he is relocating his Main Beach Post Office to Tedder Avenue. I know the rumors have been ‘out there’ for some months now, however, it is ‘official’ - the Lease was signed this week! Congratulations Graeme!
I am sure you will all join us in making Graeme & his team Most Welcome and support them to ensure the move is financially sustainable, so we always have our Community Post Office located in our commercial/retail zone… We are very excited and understand that Graeme will keep us informed as to where/when and how that will affect your Post Office Box, parcel collection etc. So, watch this space …
We understand that there is an opportunity for Graeme to expand the retail outlet side of the business and we suggested to Graeme that our local and part time locals, may like to have an opportunity to let him know what it is we are ‘missing’ in Main Beach, so that he may be able to ‘stock’ items for people like me who prefer not to ‘leave town’, e.g. a line of ‘giftware’ that is a little unique perhaps…
