In the quiet of the village, the soul finds its reflection... (Unknown)
It has been a while since we highlighted the virtues of living in this wonderful ‘Village’ of Main Beach. That, together with the fact that I have heard myself saying, “it’s a Village” and “how fortunate are we to live in such a community”, so many times this week, I felt it time to highlight again...
Not to mention, when I was stopped in my tracks, as I dashed out to Open Homes last Saturday, by a lovely local who thanked me for our Newsletter, saying how much he looked forward to receiving and enjoyed reading... I cannot repeat his words, only to say that I was truly ‘touched’ by them and wanted to say – “Thank you”! How nice was that – it made my day...
Thank you also for once again, highlighting the charm and value of our Main Beach Village!
It is perhaps hard to comprehend the feeling of living in a “Village”, or as someone else said this week, ‘it’s like a country town’. They were highlighting the fact that people actually smile and say ‘hello’ as you pass by. Having lived here now for 19 years, I had forgotten – we take so much for granted. However, those newcomers to “Village” feel and note it – it truly gives me ‘goose bumps’, when they speak of the difference from the cities they come from.
I must say, this week on a couple of occasions I attributed Main Beach being a “Village” or “Country Town” to those people I ‘affectionately’ refer to as ‘our bushies’ – the country people who are parttime, or now full time, in some cases, who landed here and potentially created the “Village” over the past 20-25 years – it makes sense to me... So, thank you to all of you!

Then I found - "In villages, time doesn't just move; it flows." – Clearly, I have not yet ‘slowed down’ to the Village pace – I will look forward to that... In the meantime, I enjoy seeing our local friends gather in the cafes – sometimes going from ‘Coffee’ together as a group and then moving on to ‘lunch’... Some of our readers will know who I am referring to and how much I enjoy our encounters as I ‘run’ past... This is our ‘community’!
Once again, my apologies, for not publishing a Newsletter last week – busy times, as always...
This past fortnight, we have had 2 New Contracts and 4 settlements.
One of our contracts is not unconditional, so therefore unmentionable for now. The other is apartment 11 The Nelson, which is now SOLD - Congratulations to the happy Sellers and Buyer!
Settlements this week are Apartment 801 Cerulean, 302 The Inlet, 204 Maldives and 3 The Meriton. We would like to congratulate both the Sellers and Buyers and thank you for your custom!
